EAST BOOTHBAY – The wedding of Barbara Jeanne Kuraitis and Scott Paul Pelletier was held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Wilson Memorial Chapel at Ocean Point. The Rev. Mary Jo Zimmerli officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Pelletier is the daughter of Paul Kuraitis of Windsor, Conn., and Jeanne Zwiebel of Wallingford, Conn. Mr. Pelletier is the son of Paul and Terri Pelletier of Lewiston.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Doreen McCarthy, sister of the bride, attended as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Karen Chiang, Sharon Van Hooydonk and Sandee Lee Levig, friends of the bride.

Brian Pelletier, brother of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Wodon Vanderlaan, Mike Dawson and Brian Paquette, friends of the bridegroom, and Paul Kuraitis, brother of the bride. Junior ushers were David and Danny McCarthy, nephews of the bride.

A reception followed aboard the Harbor Princess at Boothbay Harbor, after which the couple traveled to New Orleans. They are residing in San Antonio, Texas.

The bride is a graduate of Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and a graduate of George Washington University in the physician assistant program. She is employed as a physician assistant in the emergency room at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

The bridegroom attended the University of Maine at Orono and graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also holds a 100-ton U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license. He is employed as field service and underwriting manager at Standard Insurance Company in San Antonio, Texas. Until his relocation to San Antonio, he was also captain of the Harbor Princess whale watch weekend excursions at Boothbay Harbor.
