ANDOVER – The Andover Bicentennial Celebration will take place June 18 to 20, Friday through Sunday.

Bicentennial medallions will be available for sale at the Andover Public Library from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be free parking at Grimaldi Field and there will be shuttle transportation from the field every 15 minutes. Those wishing can bring chairs for all events. The schedule is as follows:

Friday

3 to 10 p.m., carnival at tennis courts; 8 p.m. to midnight, street dance in front of fire station.

Saturday

8 a.m., Town Hall displays and slide show all day, Dick MacKnight photography display; 8:30 a.m., road race from four corners around four-mile square; 9 a.m., kids’ parade at the common, through age 12 (bikes, trikes and doll carriages); 10 a.m., parade starting at Andover Wood Products, dedication of Civil War Monument and two-gun salute.

Also, carnival until 10 p.m.; 11 a.m., food for sale on the common provided by East Andover Community Club and Andover School Playground Committee.

Also, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Andover Historical Society building open; noon, skydives at Grimaldi Field; 12:30 p.m., free birthday cake and ice cream at bandstand; 1 to 2 p.m., time capsule opening on the common; 1 to 3 p.m., Trickster Fox performs on the common; 2 to 6 p.m. antique tractor pull at Grimaldi Field; 3 p.m., bury new time capsule.

Also, 4 to 6 p.m., pig roast at fire station by Ellis River Riders; 5 p.m., softball game, Andover vs. Rumford at Grimaldi Field; 6 p.m., Casco Bay Concert Band on the common; 6 to 8 p.m., hot air balloon demonstration and rides at little league field; 9 p.m., fireworks at Grimaldi Field.

Sunday

7 to 9 a.m., pancake breakfast at First Congregational Church by Andover Service Circle; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., East Andover Schoolhouse open; noon to 1 p.m., organ concert at First Congregational Church with Four on a Match Quartet; noon to 5 p.m., carnival. Also, 2 p.m., Sweet Adelines and the Country Chords performing on the common; 1 to 5 p.m., open houses; 3 p.m., Maine Hysterical Society show at the town hall (advance tickets for sale locally).
