PARIS – Students of the Month for May at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School are Tyler Tinsley, freshman; Brandon Pike, sophomore; Christine Brown, junior; Autumn Everett and Ashley Vestal, seniors.

This is the fourth year the Rotary Club has sponsored the program.

Each month the high school staff nominates students who they feel have “made a difference in their classroom.” The goal of the program is to reward teamwork, positive behavior, extra effort and good student citizenship.

The program is coordinated through the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange.

This is the first time there have been two students rewarded from the same class.

The five students were praised for their great attitudes and hard work. All five were noted to be dedicated to learning.

The students’ names and photo have been placed on the plaque that hangs in the hallway across from the school library and have had “pizza with the principal.”

On May 12 they were among the 29 students honored at an Oxford Hills Rotary Club breakfast with certificates of excellence.
