LEWISTON – McMahon School administrators, teachers and support staff honored 25 Sisters of Charity employees for the time they have donated during the past year volunteering at the school.

Sisters of Charity and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center are Adopt-A-School partners with McMahon School. In that capacity, they send volunteers during the school year to help in numerous ways, including tutoring in the computer lab, reading to younger students, mentoring the student newspaper, teaching JA classes and other activities.

All 25 volunteers received a certificate of appreciation created by the school. They were presented by School Principal Althea Walker and Assistant Principal George Veilleux during an afternoon ceremony on June 2.
