AUBURN – Auburn intermediate school students participated in the annual Auburn Schools Grade Five Math Meet at Webster School on May 14

The event was held as part of the ongoing math enrichment activity through the Auburn Gifted and Talented Program facilitated by Joanie Simard and Carrie Beaulieu. Students competed for team points in individual and team events, which required participants to solve problems involving calculations, logical thinking and visual spatial math.

The team consisting of Brandon Giguere, Ray Grady, Zachary Olstein, Miranda Martin and Taylor Morgan placed first in the team events. Taking second was the team of Ben Armstrong, Corey Spruill, Josh Robichaud, Hope Mowry and Taylor Tarr. Third-place team honors were shared by Bowen Leary, Christian Tucker, Robert Miller, Jordan Casey, Nate Fairchild and Eric Davidson.

Individual high scorer was Zachary Olstein, followed by Kelsey Philbrick, second. Ben Armstrong and Alex Smith were tied for third and rounded out the field of individual winners.

Other participants included Mitch Adams, Catherine Bauer, Ben Bellevue, Cam Bennett, Jeremy Bernier, Cam Bisson, Sadie Bonang, Melissa Brown, Chris Charest, Kim Clark, Tim Clark, Robbie Cloutier, Sam Cullen, Dawna Daigle, Randall Desmaris.

Also, Jon Delorme, Katie Delorme, Emily Deveau, Amanda Dubois, Caroline Dunn, Kate Fraser, Emily Grund, Jordan Haskell, Carter Innes, Cam Ivers, Chris Lambert, Samantha Lamson, Jessica Lau, Cody Leavitt, Matt MacDonald, Tim Mains.
