RUMFORD – From now on Rumford Hospital patients will get art with their X-rays. Five members of the Art Club at Mountain Valley High School painted ceiling tiles for the Radiology Department. The tiles will hang above X-ray machines for patients to see as they lie on the table.
Serene Burt’s blue bird sits among stars. Danielle Descoteaux painted a friendly dragon. Ben Hornsby and Chad Moeun collaborated on a fantastic carbunkle, and Kati Nile produced a bald eagle perched in front of an American flag.
“I know our patients will appreciate having something more interesting than white ceiling tiles to look at,” said Radiology Manager Gale Hill, “but they’ll appreciate even more that these were painted by young people right here in our community.”
