NORWAY – The Norway Unitarian Universalist Church is holding a “Cakes for the Queen of Heaven Two” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at its 479 Main St. location. Sessions began June 15.
The June 22 session topic will be “Reclaiming Our Bodies and Reclaiming Mother-Daughter Relationships.” All are invited. The fee for the course is $15.
Topics will include: July 6, “Reclaim Our Power as Women and Why Did It Happen? The Shift from Goddess to God (Athena)”; July 27, “Reclaiming the Female Persona on Judaism and Discovering the Voices of Women in Judaism”: Aug. 3, “Gnostic Christians as Kindred Spirits”; Aug. 17, “Mary and Mary Magdalene’: Sept. 7, “Witchcraft”; Sept. 21, to be announced.
Collecting books
WEST PARIS – The Friends of the West Paris Library are accepting donations of books for an August book sale at the library. The date will be announced later.
Books may be left at the library during regular hours: Monday and Friday 1:30 to 6 p.m. or Wednesdays 1:30 to 7 p.m. All proceeds of the sale will be used by the Friends to support the library and its activities.
Patriots trip
BUCKFIELD – A bus trip to see the New England Patriots during training camp will be held. Cost is $25 a person, which includes a meal on the return trip.
The trip is being sponsored by the Buckfield Buckeneers Football Association.

Church events
OTISFIELD – The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road, announces summer events.
Services are at 10 a.m. Sundays except on July 4, when it will be at 8:30 a.m.
July 17: flea market and white elephant sale at the community hall from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to benefit the church scholarship fund.
July 18: officer’s meeting.
July 22: nursing home picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July 25: coffee hour after the morning service.
Craft fair
OTISFIELD – The annual craft fair to raise money for the East Ostifield Free Baptist Church’s scholarship fund will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at the American Legion Hall, Church Street, South Paris. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There are still a few tables left for rental to any person who wants to sell crafts.
The money from the rental of the tables and from any church crafts, plus the kitchen area, goes directly into the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church’s scholarship fund.
Anyone wishing to rent a table can call Marian Culbert at 743-9832.
