ARUNDEL – The musical “Oliver!” adapted from a novel by Charles Dickens, will be onstage at the Arundel Barn Playhouse from June 30 through July 17.
“Oliver!” is the tale of a young orphan’s journey through the streets of Victorian London in search of love and a happy home.
Along the way, he escapes from a workhouse, meets the Artful Dodger who delivers him to Fagin and his pack of thieving street urchins and is in danger of being jailed before he’s rescued.
The Arundel Barn Playhouse is at 53 Old Post Road in Arundel. Directions are on www.arundelbarnplayhouse.com.
Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Wednesday matinees at 2 p.m. Additional performances are Sunday, July 11m at 8 p.m. and Friday, July 16, at 2 p.m. Evening tickets are $24; matinees are $19. For reservations, people can call (207) 985-5552.
