AUBURN – Students entering grades two through seven in the Lewiston-Auburn area are invited to join the staff at the Auburn Land Lab for its sixth summer of environmental education day camp.

The one-week camp sessions begin on July 12 and run weekly until Aug. 13. The Land Lab Summer Day Camp encourages exploration and discovery of the scientific world all around. The session themes include “Water Wonders,” “Fort Wildlife,” “Down Under: Rocks and Minerals” and “A Walk Through Time.”

Transportation is provided from Fairview Elementary and Walton Elementary schools in Auburn and Montello School in Lewiston. Students will choose two classes to attend each day, ranging from canoeing and crafts to water testing and archeology. Each Friday, campers will travel to a local destination for a field trip relating to the week’s theme.

Registration forms can be found on the Web site, http://landlab.auburnschl.edu, call Cameron Parker at 783-4563 or e-mail cparker@auburnschl.edu.
