LEWISTON – Lewiston Elks Lodge 371 Exalted Ruler Robbie Gagne will attend the 140th National Grand Lodge Convention July 4 to 8 in Minneapolis.
Members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks from across the country will gather for the convention. Gagne will represent the lodge by voting on key issues facing the order and electing its new national leaders. In addition to helping set the course of the Elks in the coming year, Gagne will also learn the national results of the order’s many programs.
Last year more than one million men and women of the Elks made contributions totaling close to $200 million, which went to support scholarships and education programs, aid to the nation’s veterans, youth athletics and the Elks State Association’s major projects, which in Maine is the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
