RANGELEY – The Rangeley Public Library will once again host the Run-Walk-a-Thon, a 4.1-mile race through the Rangeley lakes and mountain region, on Saturday, July 10. The Wiggle-a-Thon, held at the same time, is an approximately half-mile race through the park, free for children under the age of 8.

The race will begin at 9 a.m. on Lake Street in front of the library. The race course will traverse town roads and a dirt foot path around Haley Pond. Runners and walkers will be timed. A water station will be on the route, and refreshments will be served at the end of the race.

The registration fee for adults is $15. Participants may turn in sponsorship pledges at the library the morning of the race, and the registration fee will be waived for participants who turn in $50 or more in sponsorship pledges.

Awards will be given to the top three participants in each category and all participants will receive a free T-shirt. All children will receive a participation prize.

In order to pre-register all entries must be received by July 9. Persons may also register the day of the race. All proceeds and donations will benefit the library.
