FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) – A Superior Court judge has given promoters the OK to stage the Vans Warped Tour alternative rock festival at Gillette Stadium, overriding an earlier vote by Foxboro town officials who refused to issue a license for the concerts.
Judge Paul Chernoff ruled Thursday that the Board of Selectmen’s concerns about noise and safety were not enough to warrant denying a license for the concerts, The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro reported.
The selectmen said in a statement they will honor the judge’s decision.
The concert will feature the groups Flogging Molly, Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, Tokyo Rose and Dynamite Boy.
