FARMINGTON – A graduation ceremony was held recently to honor nine students who completed the medical terminology class sponsored by Franklin Memorial Hospital. The course is taught by Anne Piroso, FMH education instructor, and is offered two times a year.
The course is designed to bring together a spectrum of information used by allied health professionals who need to understand and utilize medical terminology.
During the 12-week course, students were introduced to vocabulary of the human body as well as diagnostic tests, diagnoses and surgical procedures utilized by each medical specialty.
Graduates included Fawn Paradis, Marge McHugh, Deanna Melville, Shelly Ley, Patsy Pond, Donna White, Doreen Pingree, Sandi Deines and Karen Lecours.
