TOPSHAM – Flying Changes Center has openings in its summer horsemanship day camp week for advanced young riders. The camp runs July 26 to July 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is available to youngsters who are able to canter, have begun jumping, and wish to improve their on-the-flat and cross country/stadium jumping skills. The fee is $300 and slots are limited. For more information, contact Flying Changes at 729-0168. This session is a fund-raiser for the therapeutic riding center.

Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club held their quarterly club championship on June 29th the Multi-Purpose Center. Overall winners in Flight A were: first, Fred Letourneau and Jeanine Kivus; second, Eleanor Abrahams and Mary Leahey. Overall winners in Flight B were: first, Jim Flanagan and Nick Karamessinis; second, Charles Bartlett and Alberta Turner; third, Richard Allen and Martha Young.

North/South winners in Flight A were: first, Nick Karamessinis and Jim Flanagan; second, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; third, Richard Allen and Martha Young; fourth, Paul Pierce and Nancy Lindgren. Flight B winners were: first, Nick Karamessinis and Jim Flanagan; second, Richard Allen and Martha Young. East/West winners in Flight A were: Fred Letourneau and Jeanine Kivus; second, Eleanor Abrahams and Mary Leahey; third, Charles Bartlett and Alberta Turner; fourth, Lawrence Holmes and Lucille Theriault. Flight B winners were: Charles Bartlett and Alberta Turner.

Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the center. A partner is guaranteed.

The club also ran a quarterly club championship game on June 30 at Schooner Estates. Overall winners and section winners in Flight A were: first, Patricia Garcia and Martine Begert; second, Leslie Lord and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Fred Letourneau and Sherry Hinckley; fourth, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner. Section five winners were Leslie Buzzell and Ann Riley. Section winners in Flight B were Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.
