DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens met on June 16 at the Legion Hall with 85 present. The business meeting was opened with a reading by President Connie Tutlis.

Following a potluck dinner, entertainment was provided by Rudy and Joann Royer and Don Chase. Observing June birthdays were Patricia Ruff, Edna Kerr, Larry Kerr, Fumiko Whitehouse, Jeannette White, Laura Newell and Donald Haines. who was celebrating his 93rd birthday.

Observing June anniversaries were June and Leland Merchant, 57 years; Carole and Merwin Spaulding, 46 years; Kitty and Fred Flaherty, 50 years.

New members welcomed were Ann Dawson and Edith Gallant. Door prize winners were Bob Beams and Nell Dragulin.

New updated trip sheets included several new trips: Belfast-Moosehead train trip on Aug. 20; Octoberfest at Indian Head, Lincoln, N.H., Oct. 1; Mystery Reunion Trip, Oct. 31, Nov. 1, 2, 3. There is still room available on the Sept. 8 and 9 Foxwoods/ Mohegan Sun/Great Cedar trip. For more information or to sign up, call Connie at 364-4189.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 21, with a potluck dinner at noon followed by entertainment by Norm and Betty DeCoteau. Membership in the Neighborly Seniors is open to anyone age 50 and over. New members are welcome. Call Connie at 364-4189 for details.
