GREENWOOD – The Greenwood Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the Historical Building, Main Street, Locke Mills. Pat Stewart of Greenwood will give a talk about her book on Mollyockett. The public is welcome.

Church programs

NORWAY – Norway Unitarian Universalist Church’s Sundays at Seven program begins July 11, when Maine historian Peter Lenz shares his research on G.L. “Shavey” Noyes, late 19th, early 20th century Norway naturalist, journalist and humorist. The program/service starts at 7 p.m. in the Music Hall of the church, with lemonade and cookies to follow.

Summer evening services at the Norway UU Church will be held in the Concert Hall in the church at 479 Main St. at 7 p.m. The worship committee has arranged for a variety of programs. Services continue July 18, and 25; and Aug. 1, 8, and 15.

Sale donations

OTISFIELD – The public is invited to drop off donations for the Scholarship Fund-Raising Yard Sale to be held July 17 at the Otisfield Community Hall. Donations will be accepted at the hall from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, and Friday, July 16.

Proceeds will go to the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church’s scholarship fund.

Dozer Dayz

OXFORD – Dozer Dayz will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Oxford County Fairgrounds, Route 26. The family day event will give those attending an opportunity to get a close-up view of big equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators and cranes. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 3 years or older. For more information, call 743-7035.
