LEEDS – David and Nancy Trider of Leeds celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently an an anniversary dinner at Rolandeau’s Restaurant in Auburn.

Mr. Trider and the former Nancy Bryant were married on May 22, 1954, at the Leeds Community Church in Leeds.

Their children are Kimberly A. Grant and husband, Arthur, Christopher D. Trider and wife, Karen, and Karen E. Barrett and husband, Mark. Their grandchildren are Melissa Yeaton and husband, Nathan, Jessica Gawron and husband, Marcin, Forrest W. Austin, Nicholas R. Trider and wife, Melissa, and Dustin R. Trider. They also have a deceased granddaughter, Deven J. Trider. Their great-grandchildren are James and Aubrey Barrett, Stefan and Mietek Gawron, and Elijah Yeaton.

Mrs. Trider is an artist whose paintings have been shown throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Illinois, Nevada and California. She has a studio in her home in Leeds.

Mr. Trider is retired after working as an electrician for the IBEW for 42 years, during which time he served as president of Local Union 1253. He is a volunteer fireman for the Leeds Fire Department.

On May 23 the couple was honored at a brunch at the Leeds Community Church, hosted by their children and fellow parishioners. They were presented with flowers and a cake made by Dawne Kilbreth-Havener, who also catered the brunch. They were treated to a trip to the Captain Lord Inn in Kennebunkport.
