DANVILLE – Announcement is made of the engagement of Jessica Ashley Burnett and Joseph Edward Chalker, both of Virginia Beach, Va.
Miss Burnett is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Allen of Powhatan, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Burnett Sr. of Virginia Beach, Va. She is the granddaughter of Martin and Beverly Lashua of Danville.
Mr. Chalker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Simmons of Pell City, Ala.
The wedding is planned for Sept. 18.
