NORWAY – Dail Martin of Casco will share her blend of improv jazz, blues and traditional styles of flute-playing at a concert at 7 p.m. Friday, July 16, at the Fare Share Commons on Main Street.

Martin, a family nurse practitioner, registered Maine guide and volunteer on the Wilderness Rescue Team, has played the American Indian flute for four years.

“I have found it to be a wonderful spiritual journey,” she said. “I used to play blues harp but find the wooden flutes to be more beautiful and the sound quality is very rewarding.”

Martin has 19 flutes, which are all different in style and pitch. She has recorded two CDs and has two more planned.

Tickets for the concert may be purchased at the Fair Share Market next to the Commons at 443 Main St. The concert is $3 in advance or $4 at the door.
