FARMINGTON – Glenice M. McIntosh, 80 of Phillips, died peacefully Sunday morning, July 11, surrounded by family at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center.
She was born March 3, 1924, in Phillips, the daughter of Howard and Marion (Sargent) Gates.
She attended school in Phillips graduating from Phillips High School in 1942. She lived and worked in Connecticut, for many years before moving to Florida. In 1986, she retired to her camp in Madrid on the Sandy River.
She enjoyed telling stories of her summers working in the Rangeley Lakes area resorts and of weekend gatherings at the camp.
She is survived by one niece, Gail Parker and husband, John, of Concord Twp.; one nephew, Eric Kenney and wife, Bonnie, of Phillips; one cousin, Maynard Phillips, of Wilton; and a special friend, Iman Goodwin, of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Elaine Kinney.
