JAY – The Jay Seventh-day Adventist Church will conduct a seminar series beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 23. at the church, Route 4, across from Ames Plaza.
Pastor Steve Brownell announces that John Oddie will present a series on “Revelation of Hope in a World of Terror.”
Oddie, a native of Great Britain, is well qualified to present the series of Bible lectures, having obtained degrees in theology and church history on both sides of the Atlantic.
His travels have taken him to Italy, Greece, Scandinavia, Ethiopia and the Middle East, where he experienced firsthand the explosive situation in Jerusalem and Jericho.
Fascinated by Bible prophecies, he has visited many of the biblically significant historical sites. He believes that the prophetic books of the Bible, especially Daniel and Revelation, hold the keys to understanding the times now and the future.
The series will continue at 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday through Aug. 15. Admission is free. Children’s Vacation Bible School-style meetings will be held in the church fellowship hall at the same time.
