PARIS – The Paris Cape Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 15, for its monthly meeting. The time has been changed to the evening to accommodate members who work during the day.

The group will meet regularly in the evening at least until the end of Daylight Savings Time. Meetings are held at the Porter Homestead, the new museum, at 77 High St., South Paris.

The subject of this month’s meeting is early 1800s physicians of Paris and features of their practice, presented by Ben B. Conant, curator. Refreshments will be served following the meeting to which the public is welcome.

The museum is open for viewing and research every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. and every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Paris Cape Historical Society will have a booth at Founders’ Day on Paris Hill on Saturday, July 17. The updated version of South Paris and West Paris cemeteries, now in two volumes, will be available for purchase.
