• June 30, 11:15 a.m. – A Dixfield resident caused a disturbance at the Town Office, prompting a meeting at the town police station between the resident and Chief Richard A. Pickett, who successfully resolved the situation.

• June 29, 2:15 a.m. – A Main Street resident complained of being harassed by his former girlfriend. She was located and issued a harassment warning.

• June 25 – A complainant from Rumford reported that a domestic assault had taken place at a Dixfield residence in early morning. The case remains under investigation by Pickett.

• June 24 – A caller from Irving Forest Products reported that some juveniles were stealing tire stems from vehicles parked at the Mill Street garage, prompting a visit by Pickett.

• June 22, 11:15 a.m. – A Scarborough resident reported that he had found a canoe on the Androscoggin River near his Dixfield camp. The case was resolved later when the resident located the owner and returned the property.

• June 21, 5:30 p.m. – A Rumford resident reported that she was threatened and assaulted at a business where she is employed on Main Street. The case remains under investigation.

• June 21, 4:15 p.m. – A Dixfield resident reported that his residence was entered and some of his personal property damaged. The incident allegedly resulted from another incident that happened earlier in Rumford. The burglary, criminal mischief and harassment incident remains under investigation.

• June 21, 2:45 p.m. – A Farmington man reported that he was approached by another man while at the Newton Brook Rest Area on Route 2. This unidentified man allegedly made sexually explicit and very offensive comments to the Farmington man.

“Since we have had similar incidents at this location in the past, folks are encouraged to report any further incidents, including any identifying information that can be obtained,” Pickett stated in his investigative report.

• June 21, 2:45 p.m. – A Weld Street business owner reported vandalism to a business. Pickett is investigating.

Arrests

• Candy J. Bryant, 30, of Dixfield, on a charge of operating after suspension, at 7 a.m. on June 27 on Main Street.

• Shawn A. Noyes, 27, of Dixfield, on two charges of violation of conditions of release in connection with a recent domestic assault charge, on June 20. Noyes turned himself in at the police station after fleeing from officer Matt Noyes a couple of days before. Shawn Noyes was then transported to the Oxford County jail in Paris.

Summonses

• Philip Cardwell, 52, of Pownal, on a charge of having a registration that was expired for more than 150 days, at 3:30 p.m. on July 3.

• Naomi L. Patrie, 45, of Mexico, on a charge of operating under the influence, at 12:15 a.m. on July 3 on Main Street.

• Dante T. Graham, 57, of Livermore Falls, on a charge of improper plates (illegal attachment), after an incident on Severy Hill in East Dixfield on June 29.

• Kimberly S. Cole, 25, of Dixfield, on a charge of negotiating a worthless instrument, on June 29. The summons arises from an allegation that Cole wrote two checks totaling $100 to a Main Street business on her closed account.

• Duncan R. Saunders, 56, of Mexico, on a charge of failing to register (expired registration), at 1:30 p.m. on June 27. A warning was also issued for the vehicle’s not having a current and valid inspection sticker.

• Craig Fergola, 20, of Rumford, on a charge of operating under the influence, at 1 a.m. on June 27 on Main Street.
