GRAY – Louie Bernardini pitched five innings and had a pair of singles to pace Cole Farms to a 7-1 win over Smith-Tobey in American Legion baseball action Thursday.

Cole Farms (6-11) loaded the bases in the first inning, sandwiching a Bernardini walk with singles from Ryan Welch and Sam Forbes. Smith-Tobey (7-9) proceeded to commit three infield errors to give Cole Farms a 4-0 lead after one inning.

Jared Dunn roped a triple to start things in the fourth, before Bernardini, Forbes and Devin Gill each produced a run-scoring hit.

The doubleheader between Cole Farms and Gayton at Gray on Saturday has been moved up to 10 am.
