LEWISTON – Hazel Irene Popadak, 72, of 11 Plummer St., Lisbon Falls died Wednesday, July 21, after her long battle with cancer with her loving family by her side.

Born in Lewiston, Aug. 15, 1931, a daughter of Horace and Zepha Small Goodridge. She graduated from Lisbon High School and Bliss Business College.

Mrs. Popadak was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and worked as a bookkeeper at Auerbach Shoe Co in Brunswick and Lee Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Auburn. She later owned and operated Popadak Ceramics with her husband and was also a member of United Maine Crafters and the Society of Southern Maine Crafters.

She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and enjoyed making ceramics and working at craft shows.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bernard R. Popadak Sr. whom she married June 28, 1952, of Lisbon Falls; her daughters and spouses, Patricia and Remi Theberge, of Lewiston, Deborah and Kris Lidback, of Bowdoin; her sons, Bernard Popadak Jr. and wife, Heather, of Bowdoinham, Michael Popadak of, Lisbon Falls, Jeffrey Popadak, of Boston, Mass.; her grandchildren, Todd and Shawn Lidback, Kathryn, Jennifer and Amanda Popadak.

She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Kimball.
