CHINA – The wedding of Lisa Marie Agurkis and Peter Alan Lockhart was held at 2 p.m. on June 5 at the China Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron Morrell officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Lockhart is the daughter of Stephen and Priscilla Agurkis of Auburn. Mr. Lockhart is the son of Frank and Marian Lockhart of China and the late Marian Lockhart.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown with lavender flowers on the hem and a semi-Cathedral train with lavender flower appliqués throughout the gown. She carried a bouquet of lavender and pink flowers.

Kathy Lachance, best friend, was maid of honor and Lisa Bussiere, another best friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Agurkis, sister of the bride, and Lisa Bussiere, friend of the bride. Bailee Lockhart, cousin of the bridegroom, was the flower girl.

Serving as best man for his cousin was Barry Mitchell and ushers were Justin Lockhart, son of the bridegroom, and Roger Lockhart, brother of the bridegroom. Peter Agurkis, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the South China Legion Hall, after which the couple traveled on the Scotia Prince on a cruise and to the White Mountains in New Hampshire. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Edward Little High School and is employed at L.L. Bean in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 1974 graduate of Erskine Academy and is employed at Bath Iron Works.
