NEW GLOUCESTER – The wedding of Devan Lyn Thompson and Benjamin James McKay was held at 2 p.m. on May 22 at Thompson’s Orchard. The Rev. Cliff Allen officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. McKay is the daughter of Brian and Lynn Thompson of New Gloucester. Mr. McKay is the son of Jim and Laurie McKay of New Gloucester.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, carried a bouquet of white roses, daisies and blue delphiniums.

Jen Paradis and Charity Norris, friends and sisters of the bridegroom, were matrons of honor and bridesmaids were Katharine Vincent, Becky Hamilton and Karen Conger, friends, and DeAnn Thompson, sister-in-law. Layne and Haylee Thompson, nieces, were flower girls.

Jared McKay, brother of the bridegroom, and Tim Dubois, cousin, were best men and ushers were John Whittier and Greg Dubois, cousins, Gerry Paradis and Ken Norris, brothers-in-law, Tristan Starbird and Travis Soule, friends, and Brock Thompson, friend and brother of the bride. Xander Thompson, nephew, and Isaih Soule, friend, were ring bearers.

A reception followed at Thompson’s Orchard in New Gloucester, after which the couple traveled to New Hampshire. They are residing in Poland.

The bride is a graduate of Mid-State College, with a degree as an administrative assistant and a certificate in accounting. She is employed at Banknorth.

The bridegroom is employed at Window Reps of Maine.
