SACO (AP) – An unidentified bicyclist was killed Wednesday in a crash involving a truck on U.S. 1. The accident took place around 4:15 p.m. as the bike and the truck were headed north near Stockman Avenue. U.S. 1 was closed to northbound traffic for about an hour.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation, police said.

The bicyclist was described as 38 to 45 years old, 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds with hazel eyes, brown hair and a bushy mustache. He was riding a white and red Trek bicycle and was wearing a blue Lycra top and black stretch shorts.

Sgt. Jeffrey Holland said anyone with information about the cyclist’s identity should call Saco police at 207-284-4535.
