HARTFORD – The descendants of Percy and Nellie Gammon will gather for the annual Gammon reunion on Sunday, Aug. 15, at Roger Gammon’s camp on Gurney Hill. Potluck lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

Buotte family

ROXBURY POND – The annual Buotte family reunion will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, at the home of Bruce and Lisette Waugh, Roxbury Pond.

Festivities will start at 9 a.m. with cribbage, horseshoes and kids tournaments. Bring a dish to share for the potluck lunch at 12:30 p.m. An auction will be held followed by karaoke.

Dolloff meeting

RUMFORD – The 77th annual reunion of the descendants of Christian Dolloff was held on Aug. 1. Christian’s son, Richard, was one of the first to settle in the Rumford area in the late 1700s.

The gathering of descendants was held at the camp of Bill and Lauris Dolloff at Concord Pond and was hosted by John B. Dolloff of South Rumford.

Seventy people attended. The oldest was Isophene Dolloff Soule, 90, of Livermore Falls, formerly of Woolwich; youngest, Hunter Christian Dolloff, 4 weeks, of Portsmouth, Va. He is the son of John Guy and Katie Dolloff and is a fourth cousin to Isophene.

Recognition for the most generations present went to Mariette Dolloff of South Rumford, represented by four generations. Mary Dolloff Vaughn and Robert Dolloff, both of Peru, had three generations in attendance. Kyle Dolloff of Canton and Stacey Dolloff of Rumford were recognized as high school graduates.

The death of Michael Millett was noted as were the births of Hunter Christian Dolloff to John G. and Kate Dolloff and Acacia Vaughn to Mr. and Mrs. Shadrack Vaughn. The person who traveled the farthest was John Guy Dolloff Jr. of Liberty, Mo.

The 78th reunion will be hosted by cousins Katie Dolloff of Rumford and Amanda Dolloff of Roxbury. The 79th reunion will be hosted by Bill and Lauris Dolloff of Lisbon Falls. Reunions are traditionally held the first Sunday of August.
