QUEBEC – Bertrand J. Pinard, 62, passed away at Enfant Jesus hospital, on Monday, Aug. 9.

He was born in Lewiston, Oct. 24, 1941. He graduated from Providence College. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a United States Army Officer and served as an Airborne Company Commander during the Vietnam War.

He earned a Master’s Degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of International Management. He joined Ford Motor Co. and had a distinguished career of 25 years with the international tractor division.

He then became president and chief executive officer of St-Raymond Forest Products which is now St-Raymond Veneers Inc. At the end of his career, he was also chairman of the board.

He was married to Mrs. Jocelyn G. Pinard and they have both resided in Qubec City for the last seven years.

Along with his wife, he leaves behind his son, John and his family (wife, Pamela and daughter, Angelique); his daughter, Anne and her family (husband, Hal Gill and daughter, Isabelle); his mother-in-law, Mrs. Paul Genest (Georgette); his brother-in-law, Claude Genest and his family (Emily, Aisha Gibson, Charmaine Genest, Paul William Genest); his brother-in-law, Emil Genest and his family (Rebecca, Ryan Riley and Morgan Riley.)
