LEWISTON – The Jesus Party celebrated Independence Day with neighborhood children in attendance.
The program opened with Jerry DerBoghosian, adjutant of Post 22, American Legion, leading the assembly in the “Pledge of Allegiance,” followed by the “Star Spangled Banner.”
Doug Taylor, who leads The Jesus Party ministry, stated in his remarks the importance of Independence Day. A special video was shown and patriotic songs were sung by the assembly.
Patriotic prizes were passed out to those in attendance. The program closed with the assembly singing “God Bless America.” “Uncle Sam” was present in the person of Albert Moreau.
