AUBURN – Gertrude B. Bouttenot, 79, of Auburn, passed away at Clover Manor on Sunday, Aug. 15.

She was born in Auburn, on March 20, 1925, and lived there until 1988. She was the daughter of Romulus and Aline Larin Bergeron. She graduated from St. Louis Parochial School in 1938, and from Edward Little High School in 1942, where she was an honor student. She attended Farmington Normal School for one year.

On June 2, 1951, she married Edward J. Bouttenot. She had 26 years service with New England Telephone Co. and had been a life member of Telephone Pioneers since she retired in 1982. She enjoyed classical music, bowling, cards, knitting and sewing.

She was a loving wife, mother and a doting and proud grandmother. She had been a choir member at St. Louis Parish, as well as a Eucharistic Minister. She also taught religious education for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Denis Bouttenot and life companion, Yvette Bedard, Marc and wife, Woon Yin Bouttenot; two daughters, Lucie and husband, Anthony Morabito, and Elsie Hoy; 11 grandchildren; two stepgranddaughters; two sisters, Rita Moreau and the late Leo Moreau, Claire and husband, Patrick McDonald.

She was predeceased by a son, Jude, who died at birth, and four beloved brothers, Raymond, Frank, Andre, and Louis-Marie.
