FARMINGTON – Elaine T. Morey, 62, of New Vineyard, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 17, at Orchard Park Nursing Care Center, where she had been a resident since December.

Born in Newport, N.H., Sept. 8, 1941, a daughter of Martin T. and Gwendolyn Ordway Tatro Sr., she received her education in Newport schools, graduating from Towle High School. She later attended the University of Southern Maine School of Nursing and Southern Maine Technical College, where she earned her LPN in 1985.

Mrs. Morey enjoyed working with the elderly and worked as a nurse at several different nursing homes. She enjoyed the ocean, gardening and animals and will be remembered as being a person who cared more for others than herself.

She is survived by her partner in life, Bob Webb, of New Vineyard; daughters, Serena Massey, of Holden, Mass., and Naomi Ingles, of Ft. Carson, Colo.; sons, Joseph Morey, of Cummington, Mass., and Dean W. Morey, of Worthington, Mass.; siblings, Patricia Duffy, of West Rutland, Vt., Beverly Francis, of New Portland, Martin Tatro Jr., of Baltimore, Md., Charles D. Tatro, of Newport, N.H., and Star Adamo, of New Portland; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
