AUBURN – Marie Anna Provencher, 90, widow of George W. Provencher of Swain Brook Apts., Rumford, died Saturday, Aug. 21, at the Chapman House where she had resided for the past 11 years.

She was born May 21, 1914, in St. Cyprien, P.Q., the daughter of Joseph and Marie Berube Langlais. A resident of this community since 1925, she was a communicant of St. Athanasius St. John Church, a member of the Rumford Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Rumford Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a daughter, Joanne Provencher, of Centerville, Utah; two sons, George Denis Provencher, of Russellville, Ark., and Louis Marcel Provencher, of Santa Clara, Calif.; three grandsons, Scott, Brian and Matthew Provencher; a granddaughter, Margaret Provencher; two great-grandsons, William and Nathan Provencher; and a great-granddaughter, Remy Provencher; a brother Cyrice Langlais, of Rumford and Naples, Fla.

She was predeceased by a sister, Sister Alice Langlais, and two brothers, Paul and Louis Langlais.
