LEWISTON – Rita May Ross, 61, of Rangeley died Monday, Aug. 23, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1943, in Methuen, Mass., the daughter of Wallace and Beatrice (Bean) Clarke. She attended school in Massachusetts, and married Frazier Ross June 7, 1968, in Rangeley.

She loved her dog, Tiny, and enjoyed collecting butterflies, reading and especially spending time with her grandchildren, and grandnieces and nephews of Rangeley.

Survivors include her husband, Frazier, of 36 years; a daughter, Carmelita Ross, of Rangeley; a son, Freddie Ross and his wife, Mary, and their two children, Christopher and Courtney, all of North Waterboro.
