BURLINGTON, Vt. – The wedding of Rebecca Jean Descoteaux and Nicholas Keith Roy was held on June 26 in Burlington, Vt. Pastor Adrienne Carr officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Roy is the daughter of Hugh and Karen Hammond of Chester, Vt. Mr. Roy is the son of Daniel and Jackie Roy of Lewiston.

The bride was given in marriage by Hugh Hammond. Katrina Merrow served as honor attendant for her friend and bridesmaids were Angela Roy, Aimee Labiere and Marissa Miller, friends. Meghan Kelley, cousin of the bridegroom, was the flower girl.

Serving as best man for his friend was Eric Potvin and ushers were Mark Rioux, Derek Nadeau and Colin Porter, friends. Cody Roy, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at Lake Champlain, after which the couple traveled on a cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. They are residing in Farmington, Conn.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in dental hygiene. She is employed as a dental hygienist.

The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Vermont and is currently attending the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
