AUBURN – The wedding of Wendy Diane Giard and Jeffrey David Gagnon was held at 5 p.m. on June 25 at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Kevin Martin officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Gagnon is the daughter of Daniel and Monique Giard of Minot. Mr. Gagnon is the son of Gerard and Doris Gagnon of Greene and David and Susan Olmsted of Auburn.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with A-line skirt, multi-colored embroidered flower organza overlay and a chapel train. She carried a cascade of pale pink roses, blue hydrangea, lavender lisianthus and Queen Anne lace.

Melissa Thayer, friend, was honor attendant and bridesmaids were Kerri McQuilkin and Michelle Verrill, friends.

Peter Gagnon was best man for his brother and ushers were Eric Giard, brother of the bride, and George Mathews, friend.

A reception followed at Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. They are residing in Auburn.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in history and a 2001 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a master’s degree in education. She is a teacher with the Auburn School Department.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in printing management. He is employed as an account manager for Formsource Business Printing in Lewiston.
