MEXICO – The first 2004-05 Mexico Trailblazers meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, in the basement of the Mexico Town Hall.

Lodge meeting, supper

CANTON – Whitney Lodge No. 167, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, will hold a stated meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2.

This meeting will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30 p.m. All Master Masons are welcome.

Snowmobilers gathering

ROXBURY – The Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will hold its first meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the Roxbury Town Office. New members are welcome.

Craft workshop set for Friday

RUMFORD – There will be a craft workshop at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street, to prepare for the Saturday, Nov. 20 fair. There will also be a short United Methodist Women meeting at the same time.

Pig roast fund-raiser

RUMFORD – The Cameron for Senate Committee invites the public to join them for an old-fashioned country pig roast fund-raiser at noon Saturday, Sept. 11.

There will be plenty of food, music and something for the children.

The roast will take place at noon at Rob Cameron’s home, 349 South Rumford Road.

Attendees will have a choice of pork or deep-fried turkey, salads, breads and desserts.

Donations are $25 per person or $45 for a couple.
