FALMOUTH – The wedding of Ayse Selek Opcin and Allan Talbott Ingraham was held at 6:30 p.m. on June 12 at the Falmouth Country Club in Falmouth. Connie Provencher, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Ingraham is the daughter of Sema Gokcen and Ali Akin Opcin (deceased) of Izmir, Turkey. Mr. Ingraham is the son of Allan M. Ingraham of Auburn and Tina Ingraham of Bailey Island.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother, wore an off-white strapless gown with A-line skirt and carried a bouquet of green orchids.

Timothy Ingraham, brother, performed the duties of best man and ring bearer was Ozgur Toros, cousin of the bride.

A reception followed at the Falmouth Country Club. In August the couple traveled to Turkey. They are residing in Washington, D.C.

The bride was Valedictorian of her class at Bogazici University and received a bachelor’s degree in economics. She also received her doctorate in economics from Stanford University. She is employed as senior economist at Economists Inc. in Washington, D.C.

The bridegroom is a 1996 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Colby College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is also a 2001 graduate of the University of Maryland with a doctorate in economics. He is senior vice president at Criterion Economics in Washington, D.C.
