FAIRFIELD – Kristin Keene netted an unassisted goal at 14:57 into the second half to lift Edward Little to a 1-0 triumph over Lawrence in field hockey action Tuesday evening.
Keene picked up the ball off the goalie’s pads and deposited it into the back of the cage to notch the goal.
Mary Martin was strong in net, making 14 saves to preserve the win for the Eddies (2-0). Katie Beeh and Kasey McPhail split goaltending duties for the Bulldogs (1-1), combining for 16 saves.
Old Orchard Beach 6, Poland 3
POLAND – Ciera Pratt had a four-goal performance as she led Old Orchard Beach to a 6-3 victory over Poland.
Sam King also added two goals and an assist for the Seagulls (2-0), while Nicole Conta blocked seven shots in the net.
Jessica Hodgkiss, Becky Lindquist, and Heather Clark each scored, while Elsie Cummings had nine saves for the Knights (0-2).
Oxford Hills 7, Morse 1
SOUTH PARIS – Brianna Thompson tallied three goals as Oxford Hills rolled past Morse to post a 7-1 victory Tuesday afternoon.
Diann Ramsey added two goals to the win, while Tia Pratt and Alicia Flick each chipped in with a goal apiece for the Vikings (2-0).
The lone goal for the Shipbuilders (1-1) was netted by Loren Kinne.
Winslow 8, Oak Hill 0
WALES – Nikki Peters and Ashley Neuhall combined for five goals as Winslow romped past Oak Hill 8-0.
Christina Quirion, Nicole Lombardi, and Maegan Nelson each chipped in with a goal for the Black Raiders (2-0) win.
Alyssa Matthew stopped eight shots to preserve the shutout. Frankie Curtis made 14 saves for the Raiders (0-2).
