PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce will offer a seminar on so-called 529 plans and other educational funding options in a series of financial seminars presented by American Express Financial Advisors and the chamber. The seminar will inform participants on college funding. There will be two seminars. The first is at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, in Room E118 at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, and again at 6 p.m. at the chamber office. Space is limited. Pork supper

OXFORD – A roast pork and gravy supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Oxford Grange 46, 483 Main St. The menu will also include mashed potato, vegetable, pie and beverages. The menu is subject to change. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Creation seminar

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Christian Fellowship will present a special seminar featuring Steve Grohman titled “Creation: Have You Ever Wondered?” at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, through Wednesday, Sept. 15, at the corner of Country Club Road and Route 117, one mile south of Norway Lake. Admission is free. Questions and topics that will be discussed include whether humans descended from monkeys, what happened to the dinosaurs, whether there was a worldwide flood, when the ice age occurred, how Adam lived more 900 years, and the topic of carbon dating.
