FARMINGTON – Jean Florence Collins Moore, 79, of North Jay, went home to be with her savior and Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

She was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Stratton, a daughter of Jean and Pearl Florence (Porter) Collins. She was a 1942 graduate of Farmington High School and on March 6, 1945 married Robert H. Moore in West Farmington. They lived in the Farmington and Jay areas all of their lives.

She worked in local mills and shoe factories as well as owning and operating, with her husband and daughter, Helen Stanley, B and J’s Shoe Store in North Jay for several years.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robet H. Moore, of SRNCC, Farmington and a resident of North Jay; six children, Ronald Collins and his fiance, Sharon Waggner, of New Jersey, Carolyn Boyker and her husband, Bruce, of Farmington, Florice Collins and her husband, Mike, of Livermore Falls, Jeannine Backus and her husband, John, of East Wilton, Donald Moore and his wife, Giselle, of Dominican Republic; two brothers, Fred Collins, of Bath and Charlie Collins, of New Sharon; two sisters, Helen Delauro, of Crown Pt., Ind., and Virginia Gould, of Florida; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Helen Stanley, two grandchildren, Kathy Lewis and Kenneth Stanley, Jr., and brothers, Robert and Wendell Collins.
