The third annual Slo-Mo Lobster Softball Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 25-26 in the Farmington/Jay area. This unique tourney is open to all slow pitch, modified pitch or newly-formed teams. The format will feature a round robin on Saturday (minimum of 3 games), with top teams advancing to a double-elimination 1-pitch tournament on Sunday. Slow and modified teams will play each other. The style of the pitch will be determined by each manager after a coin flip to determine home field. A 3-home run limit will be in effect.
College Quik Stop of Waterville is the defending champ.
Entry fee is $175 per team, with lobsters and a sponsor’s trophy given to the top 3 teams (30 lobsters for first, 20 for second and 10 for third), along with a Good Sportsmanship Award.
More information on the tourney is available by contacting Louis Webster at 6710 East Dixfield Rd., Dixfield, Me. 04224, or call him at (207) 645-2336.
