GORHAM – Devin Edwards snapped a 1-1 tie with less than 13 minutes to play, giving the University of Southern Maine a 2-1 triumph over Husson College in men’s soccer Wednesday afternoon.

Edwards picked up a loose ball inside the six-yard box and slipped an unassisted shot through a maze of players at 77:42 to give the Huskies (1-1-1) the win. Liz Brunton took a short cross from Amanda Valeriani and booted home a shot from about eight yards out.

UMF 2, Lyndon State 0

FARMINGTON – Joe Conway and Craig Cameron each scored in the first half to give the University of Maine at Farmington a 2-0 victory over Lyndon State in men’s soccer action Wednesday.

Rob Cloutier and Andrew Hainer provided assists for the Beavers. Seabren Reeves needed only one save to notch the win.

Lyndon State managed only one solid shot on goal, while Nicholas Rowe stopped one of three shots fired at him in net.
