FARMINGTON – A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Prudence “Prudy” Gifford, of Farmington, was held Friday, Sept. 10, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, “The Church in the Meadow,” Rtes. 2 & 27, Farmington, with Rev. Marriott Churchill officiating. Opening words were John 11:25-26 and Psalm 28:6-7. The Responsive Reading, by Jack Hoyt, Lector, was Psalm 27. Scripture of Promise was John 14:1-7 and 15-17. The choir was under the direction of Sandra L. Hoyt. They sang “In The Garden” and “Chariots Comin’.” Soloist Darlene Mooar sang “Amazing Grace.” The congregation sang “The Church’s One Foundation.” Many family and friends shared personal remembrances as part of the eulegy. Pallbearers were Everett Vining, Allan Tracy, Richard Fogg, William Hoyt, Jack Hogan and Michael Chase. Following committal services at Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, all were welcomed back to the church vestry where the Trinity Church Family hosted a comfort meal and remembrance reception. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service and Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., (Rtes. 2 & 27) Farmington.

Jean Florence Collins Moore

NORTH JAY – A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Jean Florence Collins Moore, of North Jay, was held Saturday afternoon, Sept. 11, from the First Congregational Church, Main Street, Wilton, with Rev. Dr. Douglas Allan Dunlap officiating. Church organist was Mary Ryan and soloist was Siiri Stinson who sang “Amazing Grace.” Jean’s brother, Charlie Collins, and her husband, Robert, both sang many family favorites. The congregation sang, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In The Garden.” The readings included Psalm 23, John 14:1-7 and Proverbs 31: 10-31. Following services, all were invited to a family reception in the church vestry, hosted by the Women’s Fellowship. Pallbearers were Major Mike Backus, Ronald Collins, Bobby Boyker, Kevin Stanley, Matt Moore and Scott Collins. Following cremation at Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn, private family committal services will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton.

Lena Marstaller

LISBON FALLS – Crosman Funeral Home announces that Funeral Services were held Saturday for Lena Marstaller at The Lisbon Falls Baptist Church. Pastor Steven Degroft officiated. Interment was held at Lunt Cemetery in Brunswick. Casket bearers were Paul, Frank, Peter, Bruce, and Dorrance Marstaller and Sean McCarthy.
