RANGELEY – The Catholic Women’s Club will hold its annual harvest supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Masonic Hall, Richardson Street.
The meal will include a full turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce and gravy. Dessert will consist of homemade pie with ice cream. Drinks will include coffee, tea or lemonade.
The price will be $8 for adults and children 12 and under $4. This dinner is to help support the scholarship fund.
Painting class
FARMINGTON – SAD 9 Adult and Community Education will offer a new fall course, Acrylic Painting, with art instructor Barbara Hathaway of Wilton. The course will run six sessions from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Sept. 29.
Quick drying acrylics will produce a composition with brilliance. Sky atmosphere, sunsets and reflections will begin the scene. Mountains, trees and other foliage will fill in the middle ground. Other elements may include painting a seascape with a lighthouse or a landscape with a barn and a fence.
Students will be able to frame a dry painting on the last lesson. For more information or to register call Adult Education at 778-3460. A material list will be provided upon registration.
