NEW GLOUCESTER – Pineland Farms, in conjunction with the YMCA at Pineland and Energy East, invites the public to attend the inaugural Harvest Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Commons on the Pineland campus.
“Health and Wellness” is the theme. Co-chairman Phil Savignano said the mission is to “promote health awareness and to encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their own health.”
Colleen Connolly, R.N., True North Health Care, will present “Acupuncture for the Uninitiated” from noon to 12:30 p.m. There will be a hearing screening.
Other organizations participating will include To Life Chiropractic, Gray Physical Therapy, True North, Weight Watchers, Maine Cardiovascular Health Program, Freeport Integrated Health, Pilates, Skin Therapy by Hilary and Fiddlehead Center for the Arts.
There will be a number of hands-on activities as well as basic screenings available. The event is free and open to the community.
