LEWISTON – A surprise 40th anniversary party was held recently for Normand and Lorraine Fournier of Lewiston.
The celebration was held with family in the reception room at Gipper’s in Auburn. The event was planned by their three children, Irene Babine of Damariscotta, Roland Fournier of Tyngsboro, Mass. and Tim Fournier of Lewiston.
Mr. Fournier and the former Lorraine Nadeau were married on June 6, 1964 at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.
Mr. Fournier is retired and Mrs. Fournier retired from Bates College and is currently employed at Central Maine Medical Center.
Guests consisted of 37 family members, including seven grandchildren. Relatives attended from as far away as Massachusetts and Connecticut.
