LEWISTON – Gregory F. Russell, 57, of 1032 Sabattus St., Lewiston. He went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday evening, Sept. 19, at his home, following a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston, the son of Thomas and Irene Pelletier Russell on March 19, 1947.

He attended schools in Lewiston and Auburn. He attended the U.S. Navy during 1964 – 1967. He did fire and rescue while in the service. He then attended trade school in Portland and Farmington.

On April 16, 1969, he married the love of his life the former Brenda Paradis. Together they made their home in Lewiston. He worked at Bath Iron Works until his illness.

“Greg’s” passion in life were his family, his love for the Lord, carpentry, rollercoasters, playing chess and Friday movie nights with Brenda, Bill and Darlene Roy.

He was a born again believer and a member of Fellowship Church in Greene. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years Brenda; a daughter, Kim and her husband, Dave Saldana; his sons, Victor and his wife, Kathy Madore, Scott and his wife, Tina Russell; his nine grandchildren, Sandra and her husband, Ryan Marshall, Ryan, Corey, Christy, Shonah, Bailey, Halie, Cassidy and Elise; a great-grandson, Liam; a sister, Rosie Albert and her husband, Jim; his brothers, Thomas Pelletier, Frederick and David Russell; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mom and dad.
