EAST CARRY POND – Lucien R. Poulin, 64, of Augusta, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 19, at his camp at East Carry Pond.

He was born March 27, 1940, the son of Raphael and Dorothy (Gagne) Poulin. He was educated in Augusta schools. He married Kathleen D. Baril on April 23, 1960 in Auburn.

He was a member of the Calumet Club of Augusta for many years. He was employed at automobile dealerships in the Auburn, Augusta and Waterville areas for 30 years, receiving several awards to include the Ford 300 Club, the Ford 500 Club, and a very special honor of nomination to the Ford Marketing Executive Guild. He retired in 2002, from International Paper in Jay following 12 years of employment.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved his cabin at East Carry Pond where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen D. (Baril) Poulin, of Augusta; his children, Celeste J. Poulin, of Randolph and Philip Poulin and his wife, Andrea, of Sun Prairie, Wis.; two grandchildren, Allie and Matthew; a brother, Gerard Poulin and Robert Poulin, both of Augusta; his father and mother-in-law, Leon and Simonne Baril, of Bingham; a niece; two nephews; and many cousins.
